How to earn money as a teenager

We've all been a teenager, and most will remember how hard it is to get money

Especially nowadays as everyone seems to have that cool game, or the cool new MP3-player.

And ofcourse, you can't pay any of these things. Well, here's a few ways to earn yourself some money.

Get a job.

While it may not seem like lots of fun, a job will earn you money, and lots.

Some sample jobs include:

Bringing round folders/newspapers.

Working in a store.

Babysitting.

All off the above can earn you quite some money, some more than others, for example: a Newspaper round will earn you a lot more than a folder round, sometimes up to 100,- per month or even more! however you have to get out of bed early, and have to be older.

Set up a stand

Setting up a lemonade stand for example works very well, especially if you are young.

other options are:

Play some music in a public place, and put down e.g. your guitar case for people to drop money in.

Or organize a hobby workshop for kids, and charge some money to let them in

Internet money

Yes, that's right, money you can earn by sitting in front of your PC! don't we all dream of THAT.

examples of these include:

A website like Euroclix, making you click on links, which is pratically free money.

Make a WonderHowTo article, just like this one, and get Google Adsense money.

Fill in surveys, they dont occur very often, but can earn you quite something, and your interests will influence the world!

If all else fails.... or you are just REALLY lazy

Try to get more pocket money... it may seem impossible at sometimes, but getting a raise in pocket money, can, and will occur, but if your parents really dont feel like giving you more, quit asking them.

some ways to convince your parents:

Save up some money to show them that you don't spend everything on the spot

Be nice to them, whining doesn't work.

Tell your parents you will e.g. pay the costs of that magazine yourself, and then just stop buying it once you got the raise.

Make an appointment with your parents that if you finish the school year with good grade's, they will give you, say, a 25% raise every year.

Save up some money, and enjoy your new stuff

Don't expect to be able to buy everything right when you get more money, instead, save up. it might seem demotivating if you're used to buying lots and lots, but something big is really worth the effort.

Also, set yourself a goal, for example, that new game, or an electric guitar. When you reach this goal, you can look back and be proud of yourself.

Tips

• When you think of doing a paper round, don't expect to get offered a job straight away, and once you get it, walk it together with a friend, you share the money, and have fun together.
• Ask an official before you try to earn money by setting up a stand in e.g. a shopping mall
• Getting a job will cost the most effort, but will earn you quite some cash!
• Dont expect to earn a lot, but be happy that you earn
